Algiers, 90s. Nedjma, 18 years old, a student living in the university campus, dreams of becoming a stylist. At nightfall, she sneaks through the fence of the city with her best friends to reach the nightclub where she sells her creations to "papichas", pretty young Algerian girls. The political and social situation of the country is getting worse and worse. Refusing this fate, Nedjma decides to fight for her freedom by organizing a fashion show, thus defying all the prohibitions.
